This is about to get REALLY confusing...
So SBC just bought AT&T. SBC is the majority owner of Cingular which purchased AT&T Wireless(separate company from AT&T) last year, doing away with the AT&T Wireless name and forcing everyone with an AT&T phone to "upgrade" to a cingular phone. Well now SBC is going to make Cingular rebrand as AT&T.
So if you have an old AT&T phone, you will need to go to a Cingular store and trade it in for a new AT&T phone. This is going to get ugly.

I doubt it. Would be funny (and confusing again) though. Since Cingular just launched MediaNET, I wonder if that is going to stay or if we are going to see the emergence of mMode again.
